CJEU: Requests for preliminary rulings from the Dutch Council of State

The Dutch courts have recently submitted two asylum-related requests for preliminary rulings to the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Case C-582/17 H.: On 4 October 2017, the Dutch Council of State referred a question to the CJEU regarding the right to an effective remedy against the incorrect application of the Dublin criteria in case of subsequent asylum applications.

Case C-557/17 Y.Z. and others: On 22 September 2017, the Dutch Council of State referred a question to the CJEU regarding the possibility to withdraw a residence permit granted for the purpose of family reunification in case the acquisition was based on fraudulent information.
